Review manuscripts for egregious grammar, spelling, and style mistakes with the intention of producing error-free, print-ready files. At least 3 years’ professional experience as a copyeditorfor one or more of the top publishers in the United States: the Big Five (Penguin Random House, Hachette, Simon & Schuster, Macmillan, and HarperCollins) award-winning independent presses, such as Graywolf, Kensington, and Abrams or otherwise notable publishers, such as Harvard University Press. Create a detailed editorial letter outlining trends, style rules, and areas of focus from the manuscript. Review manuscripts for continuity, timeline, factual accuracy, and consistency.
